CONFIDENTIAL COUNSELING

Life in the military can be challenging enough in times of peace, but in times of war the impact is even greater. Long periods of separation from loved ones, multiple deployments, culture shock, the intensity of serving in combat areas, coping with injury and trauma — these conditions and many more can profoundly affect a military service member’s personal and professional lives. Even the strongest can experience adverse effects, many times without knowing the cause. And those effects aren’t limited to soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. They impact partners and parents, children and siblings, and anyone who cares deeply for the one who is suffering.

HOPE FOR HEROES:
ADULT COUNSELING

Professional counseling through Hope for Heroes is how you fight back against the problems that can result from military service. Whether you’re trying to navigate deployment or struggling with reintegration issues, our team of counselors is here to help you identify, confront, and overcome them.

HOPE FOR HEROES: KIDS

Children and adolescents can be particularly impacted by a parent’s service. The Hope for Heroes Kids program offers several ways to help. Counseling adapted for teens allows them to express feelings in unique ways while acquiring coping skills they’ll use throughout their lives. Younger children who experience sadness, stress, worry, and fear are counseled in a special environment that allows them to express themselves through play, using toys, games, and role playing to uncover and resolve issues.
